Growth habit:
Due to its aggressive nature, it is highly recommended to grow mint in pots, containers, or in sunken pots to prevent it from invading the rest of the garden.

Frequent harvesting or cutting back stems to 1 inch above the ground 2–3 times a season encourages bushier growth and prevents it from becoming leggy or going to seed.

Water-wise:
Mint prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil, often found in its natural habitat along stream banks.

Light:
It thrives in both full sun and partial shade. In hotter climates, partial afternoon shade is preferred to prevent drying out.
